Designing an intentional life continues to be a guiding principle for me, both through my journey with Soolip and with yoga—a lifelong practice I embrace as both student and teacher.

As a certified teacher of yoga, I was recently honored to guide a group of 10 brave souls through "Journey to Lighter," a 20-class series I created that took place over 10 weeks in the last months of 2024. It combined all-level yoga asana with a self-study element intertwining the book, "Lighter" by Yung Pueblo.

Each of the 11 chapters of "Lighter" is profound, with deep questions to ponder at the end of each chapter. We all agreed that nearly every sentence was one to underline! Chapter 9, Internal Changes Ripple Outward, especially resonated with us all. One of my students was deeply moved by the passage, “Be the river that flows.”

With her permission, I share her reflection: "Instead of remaining static to protect myself, I want to be more like a river that flows and move through life in a dynamic way. Letting go of perfection and creating healthier boundaries will hopefully lead to less focus on ‘I’ and more on the idea of myself as a very small part of this big world that flows and has a ripple effect of love and healing."

As a teacher, I was inspired by her insight, and as a student, I found myself learning anew. This wisdom—that we can become the river and flow into our best selves—is my intention for 2025. Whether through creative collaborations with my Soolip design team, facilitating Creative Arts Workshops, or sharing the practice of yoga, I aim to nurture growth, both mine and others’.

I am excited to be the teacher and guide in another venture. My friend Jen Dohr of Authentic Voice, and I will once again present S E E D: a soul-nourishing retreat on January 25, 2025.

S E E D is one of my most cherished highlights from 2024 and from what I have read in the letters I received from our 15 participants, for them too. The day was about making a connection to oneself and to others through yogic movement, nature, writing and art. It was an invitation to heal, release what no longer serves, and make space for fresh energy and possibilities.

I invite you to do the same now. I can’t think of a better way to begin 2025! Join us in the serene Santa Monica mountains, where the tranquility of nature sets the stage for intentional living and soulful creation. Now is the time to flow forward, to heal, and to skillfully craft your best life.

Become lighter with me this year!
