Paper Play: Stationery & Card Making
Everyone has an artist inside. The artist is our inner self, what we desire to communicate and express. Whether you work as a corporate executive, lawyer, medical professional, designer, public servant, entrepreneur, parent, student, making time to connect to your authentic self by accessing your innate creativity on a regular basis is vital to our health and well-being. When we try something new outside of our daily work, or when we create something original, we cultivate our ability to think outside the box, keeping us vibrant, open, optimistic, joyful.
I believe in living a creative life for the health and well-being of one's soul. May these classes, of Hand & Heart, spark your curiosity.

A delightful journey into the art of creating personalized stationery using handmade papers and elements from nature. Participants will explore a variety of creative supplies, including pressed flowers, wax sealing, and printed matter to design unique and beautiful stationery pieces. Guided by Wanda Wen, a life-time paper & nature lover herself, attendees will be inspired to create pieces that are a true reflection of their individual style.
A key focus of the workshop is recognizing and celebrating the inherent beauty found in nature. By utilizing natural elements, participants gain a deeper appreciation for the textures, colors, and intricate details that nature offers. Amidst our digital age, we also celebrate the forgotten art of putting pen to paper, the personal touch of handwriting, and the profound impact of receiving a handwritten note.
By the end of the workshop, each attendee will have a collection of personalized note cards (10 pieces) and gift tags (10 pieces) for social use throughout the year. Imagine having this stationery collection to delve in throughout the year and being able to send this created beauty landing in the mailboxes of those dear to you. This is not just a paper play class, but an opportunity to connect with nature, accessing your heart, to create pieces that will add joy and beauty in the lives of those that get to receive.
Each participant will receive a J. Herbin Fountain Pen with 2 ink colors to add to their 20-piece stationery collection, housed in an attractive keepsake linen storage box. Workshop includes the archival stationery box that features an oh-so-satisfying wrap magnetic lid closure, fountain pen (or rollerball) two colors of J. Herbin inks as featured here. And of course, along with 10 note cards and 10 gift tags made of 100% flax linen.
Participants will have the opportunity to create these stationery pieces, but the fun is being able to have access to a plethora of creative elements and create paper pieces personal to you.
Please Note: Workshop fees are non-refundable
