In this workshop, German artist Mariken van Heugten takes you by the hand and heart and leads you into her world of ink.
Ink, as a medium, invites a playful, intuitive, and meditative approach to drawing and painting. In this workshop, Mariken shares some of her cherished techniques, offering timeless inspiration to guide and enrich your personal exploration and creative expression.
Her work often draws inspiration from the organic beauty of shapes and lines found in nature, such as flowers and leaves. However, you are warmly encouraged to bring your own collected materials as sources of inspiration. Together, we will explore the fluidity of ink, combining it with abundant water,
By the end of this workshop, you will:
- have truly enjoyed the process of experimenting with ink
- have discovered many new properties about the materials used, and how to engage with them
- have created several small size artworks of your own
- not be wanting to stop (promised!)
